Introduction
This Privacy Policy explains how SyncPostly collects, uses, stores, and protects information when you use our website, workspace, account connection flows, content tools, scheduling features, APIs, and related services.
SyncPostly helps users compose, schedule, and publish content to social platforms such as Pinterest, Instagram, Facebook, X, TikTok, Threads, Bluesky, LinkedIn, and YouTube. We process your data to provide those services and to keep your connected publishing workflow reliable and secure.
Information We Collect
We may collect the following categories of information:
- Account information: Your name, email address, profile details, authentication identifiers, workspace membership, billing status, and support messages.
- Connected social account data: Account IDs, profile names, usernames, avatars, pages, boards, channels, scopes, token metadata, and other information returned after you authorize a platform connection.
- Pinterest data: When you connect Pinterest, we may access Pinterest account details, board and board section information, Pin metadata, and publish results needed to create, schedule, or manage Pins on your behalf.
- Content and scheduling data: Drafts, captions, uploaded media, links, tags, platform selections, scheduled times, publish status, error messages, and post history.
- Usage and device data: Log data, IP address, browser type, device information, pages visited, actions taken in the app, and diagnostic events.
- Payment and subscription data: Plan, invoice, and transaction metadata from payment providers. We do not store full card numbers.
How We Use Your Information
We use information to:
- create and manage your SyncPostly account and workspace;
- authenticate you and maintain secure sessions;
- connect social media accounts after OAuth consent;
- list available publishing destinations such as Pinterest boards or Facebook Pages;
- create, schedule, publish, retry, and report on posts you approve;
- store drafts, media, templates, and publishing history;
- provide customer support and operational notifications;
- process subscriptions, credits, invoices, and fraud prevention checks;
- monitor performance, debug errors, prevent abuse, and improve product reliability;
- comply with legal, platform, security, and accounting obligations.
Social Platform Permissions
SyncPostly asks for the minimum platform permissions needed for the features you enable. For Pinterest publishing, this can include permissions to read boards and create or manage Pins. We do not publish content unless an authenticated user creates, schedules, or confirms that action in SyncPostly.
You can disconnect a social account inside SyncPostly, and you can also revoke SyncPostly access directly in the relevant platform account settings. Revoking access may prevent scheduled posts from publishing until the account is reconnected.
Sharing and Third-Party Services
We share information only when needed to operate SyncPostly, provide requested integrations, or meet legal obligations. Service providers may include hosting, database, storage, analytics, email, payments, error monitoring, queue processing, and social platform APIs.
We do not sell your personal information, OAuth tokens, social account data, drafts, media, or publishing history to advertisers or data brokers.
Data Security
We use administrative, technical, and organizational safeguards designed to protect data against unauthorized access, alteration, disclosure, or destruction. OAuth tokens and secrets are stored server-side and are not exposed in the browser. No internet service can be guaranteed to be perfectly secure, but we work to reduce risk and respond to issues promptly.
Data Retention
We retain information for as long as needed to provide the service, comply with legal obligations, resolve disputes, enforce agreements, and maintain security logs. You may request deletion of your account or specific data, subject to legal, billing, fraud prevention, and backup retention requirements.
Your Choices
Depending on your location, you may have rights to access, correct, export, restrict, or delete personal information. You can update your account details in SyncPostly, disconnect social accounts, revoke platform permissions, or contact us for privacy requests.
Children
SyncPostly is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.
International Processing
Your information may be processed in countries where SyncPostly, its service providers, or connected platforms operate. We take steps intended to protect information in accordance with this Privacy Policy.
Changes to This Privacy Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we make changes, we will post the updated policy on this page and update the effective date.
