Getting Started
Set up your workspace, connect channels, and publish safely
Use this checklist to get a new workspace ready without skipping the setup steps that usually cause publishing failures later.
1. Set up the workspace basics
- Confirm your workspace name, primary brand, and support email before inviting teammates.
- Set your default locale and time zone so scheduled publish times are predictable across Calendar and queue views.
- Add any baseline brand assets you reuse often: logo, thumbnail style, watermark, or reusable CTA blocks.
2. Connect channels cleanly
- Go to Settings → Accounts and select a platform.
- Approve OAuth for each brand or profile you manage. SyncPostly supports multiple accounts on the same platform.
- After each connection:
- Confirm the expected page, profile, or channel appears in the list.
- Add a label so later filters in Compose and Calendar stay readable.
- Run a refresh once if the token age or permission set looks wrong.
- If a page or profile is missing:
- Refresh the token from the Accounts list.
- Ensure you have admin or publisher permission on the source platform.
- For Meta, confirm you selected the right Business and Page in the prompt.
3. Build a reusable posting workflow
- Draft once in Compose, then use Platform tabs to tailor copy per network.
- Save common hooks, CTAs, or product blurbs as Snippets so you do not rewrite them for every post.
- Open Calendar and define time zones, quiet hours, and any recurring publishing windows.
- For higher volume periods, switch to Queue scheduling instead of managing every timestamp manually.
- Before publishing, preview the per-platform payload to confirm caption length, media ordering, and thumbnail choices.
4. Publish your first low-risk post
Start with a simple text-plus-image post to one or two connected accounts. That gives you a clean end-to-end check for OAuth, media processing, scheduling, and post result tracking before you attempt bulk uploads or more complex video workflows.
Preflight checklist
- At least two platforms connected and refreshed.
- Time zone and quiet hours reviewed.
- Caption reviewed in each active platform tab.
- Media assets already uploaded and marked ready.
- A fallback draft saved in case a platform throttles or rejects the first run.
